RAWwake setlist

Girl <last name> at the end of the RAWwakeWe didn't exactly have a massive turn-out for the Wake, but with such little time to organise it and without huge publicity, we didn't expect much. However, enough people turned out to watch the DVD and listen to the random music - and, of course, to imbibe some alcohol in honour of the great man - to make it worthwhile. And here's a list of the music that made up the Random Disco as spun by yours truly (AKA DJ Girl <last name>) and fellow Dubliner 66Steve - and a more eclectic selection we don't think you're likely to see very often!

Coldcut - A Tribute to Robert Anton Wilson

The legendary ravers, Coldcut, are putting on their own Bob memorial do, which I think is worth plugging. Also on the bill at Queen Elizabeth Hall, London on Sunday 18 March (did they get the month wrong or what?) are Mixmaster Morris and the great beardy weirdy himself - comics' own Alan Moore. More info and tickets from the Southbank Centre site.

Photos from the London walk (and one from the wake)

Full reports of the London memorial walk and the RAWwake coming soon, but first, have a look at a few photos on Flickr.

Here's a sample, yours truly ceremoniously launches a frozen lasagne off Blackfriars Bridge - the mystical death place of the Hanged Man God's Banker Calvi. It flew, then it fell and was eaten by seagulls!

Getting to the venue for the RAWwake

If you know East London, Corbet Place is around 3/4 the way up Brick Lane (if you're coming from Whitechapel to the south) - if you get to Quaker Street, you've gone too far! It's on the edge of the Truman Brewery Car Park.

Find it on Streetmap

If you don't know your way, might I suggest that as many people as possible make their way to Algate East tube station for 6pm and stand outside the station with a "I'm lost and I want to go drinking and watching a Robert Anton Wilson film" look on your face. Then you can all walk up together. Kind volunteers might want to take on the role of Pied Piper and lead you to the doom of your dogmatism.

RAW Memorial london Walking Tour/ Pub Crawl 18th Feb

A daytime event that will compliment the evening shindig, during which we will visit a few places in London that had significance to RAW's work and interests - and miracles of miracles there just happens to be a pub right next door to all of them

All are very very welcome

1) Start time 1:23pm here outside

The Atlantis Bookshop - Uncle Al's favourite and one of the only known stockist of a range of RAW's works. And here works a genuine top of the cauldron wiccan who worked with RAW in the 70s

2) A five-minute walk to the big Irish pub opposite the United Grand Lodge Temple, the global Citadel of FreeMasonary - here we will raise a glass or two of porter and Jameson's to Simon Moon and Sigismundo Celine.

3) A ten-minute walk down to Blackfriars Bridge - the mystical death place of the Hanged Man Gods Banker Calvi - here we will toast Eris, conspiracy and all who flail in her

4) A walk past the NT to salute RAWs 1970s production of Illuminatus - here we toast the Artist known as RAW

5) We stop at a place equidistant between the Phallic Big Ben and the Omphala London Eye - here we raise a toast (hold aloft our 99p Lasagna) to...to.. well I suppose its a toast to the masculine and feminine principle, but, let's be honest, it's a big willy and an enormous Ladies front bottom.

6) We will then take a stroll along the Thames and back through the City of London to hook up with the evening's main event.

If you want to join us at any point along the way or need any help with directions etc please phone Vincent on 0796 070 1316

Look forward to seeing you
